    THIS SWEET QUAINT EATERY CHECKS ALL THE BOXES FOR A VERY SPECIFIC USE CASE (imo) - READ ON TO SEE WHAT IT IS. :) Finally got a chance to check out the "famous," reputation-precedes-it, Instagrammable Magnolia coffee bar - and it did NOT disappoint! :) I needed to find a place to meet up with a friend for chats over a latte. Starbucks is always a no-go for me for a casual leisurely meet-up - usually their spaces are cramped and crowded with limited seating and what they do have is so close together you feel like the table next to you is listening in on your convos. And we weren't looking for a full service sit down restaurant. Nor were we looking for fast food or fast casual. So...where to go? Enter Magnolia! This place, right off Maple almost at the corner of Nutley in downtown-ish Vienna, is a bit complicated to get to believe it or not. LOTS OF TRAFFIC on Maple to have to contend with - even during non rush - because it almost right at that busy corner. And the parking situation is HORRENDOUS so be advised - the private lot for the building that Magnolia is in is super narrow and small. Not a ton of spaces that have to be shared with the other businesses in the building and very hard to maneuver around cars coming and going. Other than that....once you park and go inside, the place is magical. Super super cute interior decor and vibe. Very clean. It's obvious the staff takes great pride in their shop's appearance. The staff are all very friendly, sweet and welcoming! So refreshing in this day and age. Server seats you and takes your order, brings your order to your table and you settle up with them when you're finished. But it still feels less like a full service restaurant especially if you come for just an iced Thai tea like we did and want to just hang a while. No one is rushing you to order or rushing you out the door to turn tables! The menu is extensive. The pictures that go along with the items are super helpful. So much to choose from. Check out the menu pics I took. Mostly drinks (hot and iced) and sweet treats but also some savory options. Something for everyone for sure. And our server was so knowledgeable about all the items when we asked her a million questions! Prices are very reasonable. Orders come out quickly and service is prompt and courteous. The iced Thai tea was delicious. The avo toast dish my friend got LOOKED delicious and was brought out so beautifully plated. Portion size was big (see my pic). We sat at the bar height counter along the window on the first floor. It was the perfect venue and place to sit and chat and catch up without having to order and pay for a big heavy meal. Magnolia is TRULY a PERFECT alternative to Starbucks or even any of the local indie coffee spots if you're looking for a casual friend meet-up spot in Vienna where you can grab just a latte and a sweet treat and hang in a super vibey, cottagecore ambiance. I was impressed and will be back - so many more goodies to try!!

    We had so much fun here! The aesthetic is fantastic - floral, books, cozy but modern. The mango shaved ice was so delicious and melt worthy. So many phenomenal things on the menu to chose from - we will definitely be going back! Service was as expected - took a bit to get our order, but mostly due to the attention to detail. The wait time made sense for the type of items. Parking is tough here - we had to circle and wait for someone to leave to find a spot.

    Cafe is very instagram worthy! Latte has no sugar & was milky but once you add sugar yourself it makes it better ! ice cream was very rich! Service was quick! it is on the more pricey side of cafes but overall good!

    Very cute place!! I love the ambiance and the decorations are so pretty. I ordered a nutella banana crepe and asked if they could add mango and they were able to accommodate it. Price is alright!
